Dear Parents and Community Members,
I would like to thank you again for your support and efforts as we continue to provide a safe and effective learning environment under the pandemic criteria. I cannot emphasize enough how this is a total team effort.
On Thursday, September 3 2020, the Board of Education unanimously voted on a resolution opposing the ordinance allowing for the potential construction of a Cannabis facility on the property adjoining Pecatonica High School. The Board of Education also opposed the modification of the ordinance to allow a Cannabis facility to be built within 500 feet of Pecatonica High School. The resolution will be forwarded to the Pecatonica Village Trustees. Please see attached copy of resolution. Resolution Opposing Location of Cannabis Facilities
Monday, September 7 is Labor Day and a non-attendance day.
Tuesday will be our first offering of hot lunch for our in-person student learners. Remote learning students who qualify for free or reduced lunches should contact our Food Service Director Connie White at conniewhite@pecschools.com for information.
